Design to handover
Air Conditioning Installation
Air conditioning installation for homes and businesses anywhere in the UK. Every installation starts with a free survey and a proper heat-load calculation, so the system is sized for the space rather than guessed — then installed, pressure tested, commissioned and handed over with full documentation.
How an installation works, step by step
No surprises, no day-rate creep. You know the price, the programme and what is included before we start.
- 1. Free survey — room sizes, glazing, occupancy, heat gains and access
- 2. Design — heat-load calculation, unit selection and pipe routes
- 3. Written quotation — itemised, fixed price, no hidden extras
- 4. Programme — agreed dates, RAMS and access arrangements
- 5. Install — brackets, units, refrigerant pipework, drainage, electrics
- 6. Test — nitrogen pressure test and vacuum dehydration
- 7. Commission — charge, run up, record performance data
- 8. Handover — controls demo, paperwork and warranty registration
Correct sizing matters more than brand
An oversized unit short-cycles, never dehumidifies properly and wears out early; an undersized unit runs flat out and never reaches setpoint. We calculate the actual load from room volume, glazing orientation, insulation, occupancy and equipment gains. You can get an instant indication yourself with the free calculator on our homepage.
Brands and warranties
We install Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Toshiba, Samsung, Midea, Fujitsu, Haier and more, and register every system with the manufacturer on completion. Extended warranty cover is available on many ranges, generally conditional on annual servicing being carried out and recorded.
Installed properly, first time
Refrigerant joints are flared to torque or brazed under nitrogen, systems are pressure tested and evacuated to below 500 microns before charging, condensate falls to a suitable drain, and electrical work is carried out to current wiring regulations with its own isolator.
Every installation includes
- Free survey and heat-load calculation
- Fixed-price written quotation
- Supply of equipment and all fixings
- Refrigerant pipework, insulation and trunking
- Condensate drainage (pumped where required)
- Electrical connection, isolator and testing
- Nitrogen pressure test and vacuum dehydration
- Commissioning data sheet and user handover

Frequently asked questions
How long does an air conditioning installation take?
A single wall-mounted split is usually a one-day job. Multi-splits typically take two to three days, and commercial cassette or VRF projects run from a few days to several weeks depending on the number of units and pipework runs.
How much does air conditioning installation cost?
A typical single-room wall-mounted split installed in the UK starts from around £1,800–£4,000. Multi-split and commercial VRF systems are priced on design after a free site survey.
How messy is the installation?
One core drill per indoor unit is normally all that is needed. We sheet up, use dust extraction on drilling, and clear and clean the areas we have worked in before leaving.
Can you install air conditioning in an existing building?
Yes — most of our work is retrofit into occupied homes and buildings. Where ceiling voids are not available we surface-run pipework in neat trunking, colour matched where possible.
Do you install systems supplied by someone else?
We can, but we prefer to supply the equipment so we can register the manufacturer warranty and stand behind the whole installation.
